Robert James Connelly

Robert ""Bob"" James Connelly, age 86, died Sat. Jan. 8, 2011. Bob was born in Madison to James and Beatrice Connelly on Sept. 23, 1924. He graduated from Madison West High School and attended UW Madison. He served in the Army then worked or Milwaukee Road Railroad for 42 years. Bob was a member of the Masons. Bob married Yvonne ""Bonnie"" Warren in 1948 and they raised their family in Madison. Bob is survived by his daughters, Pam (Denny) Duane, Linda ( Wayne) Peterson and Donna (Jim) Koeble; grandchildren, Patrick Duane, Holly and Kelly Peterson and Colleen and Karen Koeble and many nieces, nephews and friends. Robert was predeceased by his wife, Bonnie, his brothers and sisters and his dear friend, Ruth Jordan. There will be a Memorial Service on Wed. Jan. 12, 2011 at 7:00 p. m. at Cress Funeral Home, 6021 University Ave. with a visitation from 4:00 p. m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the charity of your choice. Heaven has a new tenor.
