Robert "Bob"

Naples, FL/ Madison, WI - Robert Louis "Bob" Wermuth, 83, of Naples, Florida passed away peacefully on October 28th, 2014 in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. He was born July 27th, 1931 in Madison, Wisconsin, the oldest son of Louis F. and Frances M. (nee Kalscheur) Wermuth. Bob was a graduate of Edgewood High School and the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He married his late wife of 53 years, Joan (nee Donegan) on August 18th, 1956 in Philadelphia. They had three children: Michael, Elizabeth and John. Joan and Robert lived in Madison, WI for 37 years before retiring to Wilmington, NC then permanently to Naples in 2000. Bob's career with Cuna Mutual of Madison, WI gave them the opportunity to travel all over the world including Europe, Africa, Austrailia, South America and eleven trips to Joan's ancestral home of Ireland. He is survived by their children, Michael (Scott Stellman) Wermuth of Waukesha, WI; Elizabeth "Betsy" (David) Cypcar of Arden, NC; and John Wermuth of Watertown, WI; grandchildren: Andrew, Brian and Megan Cypcar of Arden, NC, Brad (Amber) Stellman of New Berlin, WI and three great-grandchildren: Austin, Montana and Remington; and his brothers James (Nancy) Wermuth of Madison, Jerome (Alice) Wermuth of Hobart, IN and Arthur "Corky" (Sharon) Wermuth of San Angelo, TX and his sister-in-law Elizabeth "Betty" Donegan of Bryn Mawr, PA. Bob is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Joan in 2010 and his parents. Family and friends may call at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (2121 Rowley Ave, Madison WI 53726) on Friday, November 14th, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00a.m. with Father Thomas Saucier O.P. presiding. Bob will be placed to rest at Resurrection Cemetery following Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 5130 Rattlesnake Hammock Road, Naples, FL 34113; Avow Hospice, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105; or the charity of choice.
