MADISON--Robert G. Bell peacefully passed away Friday, December 27, 2013, at the UW Hospital with his family by his side. He was born in Ironwood, Michigan on April 12, 1933 to the late Arnold A. and Alice I. Bell. On June 12, 1954 he married Judith A. James.
Bob graduated from the UW-Madison, School of Engineering with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He retired as Vice President of International Paper Company. Bob was a member of Maple Bluff Country Club. He was an extremely loyal Badger fan through thick and thin, an avid fisherman and an obsessed but frustrated golfer. Most of all, he was a loving and supportive husband, father, and grandfather.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 59 years, Judie; children, Robert (Sherri), Kenneth (Sunanda), Steven (Angela), and Susan; 3 grandchildren, Melissa, Krysta, and Lindsey; 6 great-grandchildren; sister and brother, Jan and Jim; and loving dog, Oliver.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. at Christ Presbyterian Church, 944 E. Gorham Street, Madison on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 with Reverend Glen Reichelderfer officiating. Family will greet friends after 10 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Bob will be missed by all.
