Rita Endres

Rita M. Endres of Waunakee passed away on Friday Dec. 12, 2014, peacefully at her home in Waunakee. Rita was born in Marxsville on Aug. 12, 1922 to Louis and Teresa (Meinholz) Meier. She married Edward Endres on Oct 21, 1943 and he preceded her in death in 2012. As a young woman she was employed by the Aldo Leopold family and always enjoyed relating those stories to her family. Rita enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grand-children. She was a long time member of St John's Catholic Church in Waunakee.

Survivors include six children, Tom (Pat) of Brighton, Mich., Terry (Betty Ann Sanguily) of Fort Collins, Colo., Pat (Stephanie), Paul (Diane), Lynn (Daryl) Stremer and Leon (Laura) all of Waunakee. 14 grandchildren Joel (Melissa Catalfio) Endres, Greg (Lisa) Endres, Monica and Derek Endres, Ryan (Karla) Endres, Rory (Emily) Endres, Calli Rae (Matt) Kamphuis, Stephanie (Andrew) Fountaine, Lou (fianc�e Ashley Dzikowich Stremer, Valerie Stremer, Rebecca (Cory) Svoma, Matthew Endres and Anthony Endres and 11 great-grandchildren. Her brother Joe (Margaret) Meier and three sisters Mae Wipperfurth, Tressa Kalscheuer, and Rosalia (Norbert) Michaels and two sisters-in-law, Barbara Meier and Cecelia Coyle. She was preceded in death by her husband Ed and a brother Albert.

Funeral services will be held on Tues. Dec. 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St John's Catholic Church 209 South St Waunakee. Rev James Leeser will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Tues from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
