Richard Syverud

North Freedom - Richard S. "Rick" "Foot" Syverud, age 49, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018 at his home in North Freedom. He was born on February 15, 1969 to Donald and Julia (Lyons) Syverud in Madison.

Rick enjoyed his time with his dog, Brutus. He enjoyed poker, and played frequently at HoChunk, and at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. Rick was also an avid Packer and Brewer fan.

Rick is survived by his mother, Julia (Spencer) Francis; his brother, James (Heather) Syverud; step-brothers, Jeff and Steve Syverud; step-sisters, Kim Francis and Tina (David) Drews; and his niece, Sierra Syverud. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Rick's name to Camp One Step, 213 W. Institute Place, Suite 306, Chicago, IL 60610.
