Richard E. Brockman, age 83, passed away peacefully at home with his family on Monday April 29th. Richard was born in Madison, WI son of Edwin and Wilhelmina Brockman. He graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 1947.
After several years, Richard found a love for real estate, serving on numerous committees including The Greater Madison Board of Realtors as well as South Central Wisconsin. He was in the Real Estate business for over 50 years. He was greatly appreciated by his customers and all those who worked with him.
In Richard's spare time he collected model airplanes, loved to travel, and enjoyed the Packers and the Badgers. He had a special love for his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Richard is survived by his family Robert, Raymond (Debbie), Roger, Ronald (Kim), Randy, Marie (Dan Wampole), Sue (Mike Hartman), Rodney (Pattie), Ramona (Craig Lees), Roy (Jessica), Rollie (Lesley), Ryan, 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and his long time companion Mary Moen and her family.
A special thanks to Rob and Renee Crothers, Ruth Alighieri, and all other associates.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joan, daughter Carol, parents, sisters Audrey and Sally, and brother Ted.
Visitation will be held on Thursday May 2nd from 4-8:00 pm at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 2420 St. Albert Dr., Sun Prairie. Also a visitation will be held at 10:00 am Friday, May 3rd at church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 11:00 am with Msgr. Terrence Connors presiding.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Richard E. Brockman Memorial Fund at Associated Bank, Sun Prairie, WI.
