Ogema - Reuben Danielson, age 90, son of John and Ruth Danielson and long--time resident of the Town of Hill died on November 24, 2012. Reuben had a long loving marriage with his beloved wife, Margith, (deceased), and deeply loved his three children, Kent (deceased in infancy), Sonia (Richard) Von Loh and Kristine (Craig) Freundlich as well as his grandchildren Aaron Von Loh and Vicki (Steve) Tressler.
He served in the US Navy in WWII, and worked for Ol Timber Corporation for many years. He loved being outdoors in nature, greatly enjoyed fishing and in his 70's became a proficient cross-county skier which he did for over a decade in spite of falling through the ice of the beaver pond behind his home while skiing one below-zero day.
He deeply loved being in his home with his wife, only moving to Madison several years ago due to advanced age. He was a long-time member of the Ogema Lutheran Church and active in the local American Legion Post.
Reuben was highly respected for his sense of honor and integrity. He had a kind heart and a good sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew him.
Services for Reuben are private family according to his wishes.
