Rebecca Purington

After losing her battle with cancer, Rebecca Purington, 68, of Janesville, WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at home on Sunday, July 24, 2022. She leaves behind her husband of 24 years, Bruce Purington; her children Jason Arms (Amber Delgado) and Jessica Arms; her step-children Michele Brown (Brian Brown) and Eric Purington (Rachelle Purington); and her grandchildren Alex Arms, Amber Arms, Zeke Arms, Seyanna Carpenter, Tavion Arms, Yorel Arms, Brielle Arms, Tyler Brown, Kyle Brown, Avalon Purington, and Zoey Purington.  She was predeceased by her parents, Ray and Thelma Jacobs (Stout), her brothers Joe Kline and Ray Jacobs Jr, and her previous husband of 17 years, Charles Arms.

Rebecca was passionate about researching her family line. She spent countless hours researching her family and those around her. If she wasn't doing research, you could find her fishing and spending time with her family and other loved ones. Not only did she love her family, she also loved all the neighborhood animals. She always took time to feed the squirrels, call the crows, and care for the stray cats.

A memorial service will be held at CRESS FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICE, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, on Monday, August 1, 2022, at 11:00 am. A visitation will be held in her honor at the funeral home on Monday, from 10:00 am until the time of service.
