Ramona Segebarth

Sun Prairie - Ramona K. Segebarth, age 70, went home to be with the Lord after her battle with Alzheimer's on Sunday, June 23, 2013, at her home in Sun Prairie. She was born on September 20, 1942 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of John and Donna (Carroll) Shaw. Ramona was united in marriage to John Segebarth on December 1, 1961 in Waterloo, Iowa. She was a church pianist and organist for over 40 years. Ramona also taught reading, music and cooking at Platteville Christian Academy. She was known for her hospitality and loved her time in the kitchen. Ramona loved to crochet. She was a loving mother to numerous foster children. Most of all, she loved being a homemaker for her family.

Ramona is survived by her husband, John Segebarth; children, Steven (Linda) Segebarth, Scott (Karen) Segebarth, Shari (Douglas) Kramer, Shawn (Janet) Segebarth and Sharla Segebarth; 13 grandchildren; her father, John Shaw; a sister, Faith (Roger) Ericson; brothers, Jon Mark (Jane) Shaw and Brent (Kathy) Shaw; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother and a granddaughter, Cassandra Segebarth..

Funeral services will be held at CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 304 Woodward Dr., Sun Prairie, on Friday, June 28, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rick W. Bloom officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Friday, June 28, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
