Phyllis Mccusker

WAUNAKEE- Phyllis E. McCusker, Age 96, passed away peacefully at Waunakee Manor Nursing home with her daughter Nancy by her side.

Phyllis was born August 8th, 1919 to Darwin and Rose Kischel. After growing up in Wausau she attended Superior State Teachers College (now UW-Superior) where she met her future husband Wiliam. Phyllis and William were married June 19, 1943. While William finished law school Phyllis taught grade school in Oregon, Wi.
After that she embarked on a career as a mother and a housewife-which she excelled at both. She had five children yet her house was always spotless, meals were always on time and excellent, the laundry was not only washed and dried but ironed, too! She was the calm in a family full of storms and she will truly be missed!

She is survived by 3 daughters: Pat of Stoughton, Barb of Madison and Nancy of Waunakee, son: Bill of Sayner, Wi.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill; her daughter Marcia; and son-in-law, Stan Hess. She is survived also by 7 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild and numerous great grandchildren.
