Phyllis S. Jasensky, 99, of Sun Prairie passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at Hyland Crossings in Sun Prairie.

Phyllis was born on July 5, 1927 in Stoughton to Fra and Olga (Oyen) Lunde. She graduated from Stoughton High School in 1945 and enrolled in the nursing program at Methodist Hospital. Phyllis later worked at Dean Clinic in Madison. She met Franklin Jasensky at Halverson’s Supper Club and later married in June of 1950. Phyllis continued to work at Dean Clinic until the birth of her son, Jack, and became a full-time mom.

She enjoyed growing orchids and various flowering plants. Phyllis loved animals and especially spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sons, James (Karen) Jasensky, Jack (Kathy) Jasensky; grandchildren, Adam Jasensky, Ben (Angela) Clavette, and Sam (Jaima) Clavette.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, Fra and Olga Lunde; husband, Franklin “Fritz” Jasensky; daughter, Linda Wilson; and infant son.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Phyllis’ name to Dane County Humane Society.

The family wishes to give special thanks to Hyland Crossings and Rainbow Hospice staff for the great deal of care provided to Phyllis.
