Phyllis E. Everson

Phyllis E. Everson, age 93 of McFarland, passed away at Nazareth House in Stoughton on Thursday, September 24, 2009.   She was born in Stoughton on July 21, 1916, a daughter of Peter and Bertha (Gulhaug) Johnson.   In 1942, she was united in marriage to Alfred Everson in Dubuque, Iowa.   Together, they farmed for many years.   Phyllis enjoyed sewing, quilting, and farming, especially her chickens. She was a wonderful mother.   Phyllis is survived by two daughters, Nancy Stowers and Barb (Dave) Amyotte; and three sons, Dale Anderson, Donald Everson, and Jack Everson.   She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred; and a son, Richard.   Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 28, 2009 at 11:00 am at the Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in McFarland, with the Rev. David Handt officiating.   Following services, there will be a luncheon at the American Legion Hall in McFarland.   The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of services.   Special thanks to Nazareth House and to Don Becker.
