Madison - Phyllis Schoener Dedrickson, age 83, passed away Monday, March 17, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. She was born on July 6, 1930 in Sioux Falls, SD, the firstborn of eight to the late Ralph and May Stone. She moved to Rapid City, SD and married Tim Shoener. They later moved to Madison, Wisconsin, raised their family and then moved to Venice, Fl, where Tim passed away in 1987. She later married Dale Dedrickson, who passed away in 1998. She was devoted both to her family and to her long career in the dental field as an office manager.
Phyllis loved watching the Green Bay Packers and spending time with her family. She was famous for her chocolate chip cookies. She was very close to her sisters and always had a smile on her face when in the company of others.
Phyllis is survived by her four children; Steve (Julie) Shoener, Brian Shoener, Sue (Louis) Armentano, Paul (Laurie) Shoener, eight grandchildren; Justin, Elliot, Stephanie, Nathan, Brent, Vincent, Ean, and Bailey; and six great-grandchildren.
She lived in Florida and chose that as her final home. A Memorial Service will be held at Unity Church of Venice, FL on April 16, 2014. Her ashes will be laid to rest with her parents in the ocean.
