Philip Martin

Madison - Philip H. Martin, age 94, passed away on September 18, 2012 in his home. Philip was born to Jacob and Elsie (Weideman) Martin in Bloomer, WI on March 25, 1918. He was a graduate of the University of WI-Madison. He served in the US Navy Submarine Corps and US Navy Reserves. He was owner of the P.H. Martin Home Improvement Co. Phil was an active member of the Village of Shorewood Hills community and attended Bethel Lutheran Church.

Philip is survived by: four children, Philip (Karen) Martin II of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Jeanne Martin of Davis, California, Lisa (Peter) Garvey of Appleton, WI and Laura (Drummond Howard) Martin of Siena, Italy; a brother Jack Martin of Burlington, WI; and two grandchildren Megan Martin and Ryan (Liz) Martin.

Philip was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Glen Martin; sister, Elizabeth Clements and former wife of 23 years: Charlotte Martin.

Inurnment will be at the Bloomer, WI City Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Village of Shorewood Hills, Emergency Medical Services or Garden Club, 810 Shorewood Blvd., Madison, WI 53705.
