Peter Constantine Georgalan

Peter Constantine Georgalan, 53, of Madison, WI, passed away on January 25, 2024, in Madison. He was born on April 25, 1970, in Madison, WI, to Helene and the late Constantine Georgalan.

Peter graduated from Madison West High School and went on to attend Lake Forest College in IL before transferring to The University of Wisconsin – Madison where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science.  

While in high school, Peter worked as a lifeguard, taught swimming lessons, and worked at Attic Angels Food Service where he discovered his passion for helping people. He began his professional career while still in college working for a lobbyist in Madison and went on to work in many industries in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. He held high profile positions in the fields of Public Relations, Architecture, International Beauty and Cosmetics Brands, and Career Counseling. Peter also spent time working for the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago and the Hellenic Museum of Chicago, keeping his faith and Greek heritage close to his heart.

Peter is survived by his mother Helene of Madison, WI; his sister, Maria Helaine (Paul) Davis of Austin, TX; and his beloved nieces, Alexandra Evelyn and Sophia Helene Davis, who lovingly call him “Nouno”.

Peter was well known for his extreme kindness, thoughtfulness, generosity, and unique sense of humor. He shared a special bond with his family and many close friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Funeral Service will be held at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 11 N. 7th St., Madison, on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at 11:15 a.m. Visitation will be held at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, on Monday, January 29, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Trisagion Service to be held at 7:00 p.m. Additional visitation will be held Tuesday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Peter will be laid to rest at Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Peter's name to Assumption Greek Orthodox Church.
