Penny Lamb

Penny L Lamb, 73, of Madison passed away on November 4, 2025, at UW Hospital with her daughters by her side.

Penny was born on January 4, 1952, in Monroe, WI to Bert & Isabel (Sandley) Beecher.

Penny was one of seven children who she had remained close with throughout her life.

Penny enjoyed taking short trips to the casino, reading, gardening & baking. But above all she loved spending time with her family.

Penny was known for her kind heart & strength that help her get through many tough health battles.

She is survived by her children, Stacy Thompson (Weldon), Becky Thompson (Terry). Her grandchildren, Torren Thompson, Justin Heron & Kyah Thompson Her great grandchildren, Aria Thompson, Lilianna Thompson & Henry Heron Briones. She is also survived by her sister’s, brother’s sister in-laws and many nieces, Nephew and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Bert & Isabel, her husband Gene Lamb Sr, her daughter Dory Thompson & her grandson Nicholas Gee and other beloved family members.

A memorial visitation will take place from 1:00 until 3:00pm on Sunday, November 9th, 2025, at Cress Funeral Home, 3325 E. Washington Ave., Madison, WI 53704. A luncheon will follow the visitation, starting at 3PM.
