Peggy Sue Santos

Peggy Sue (Huseth) Santos, age 67, passed away on Wed. Nov. 26, 2025, at UW Hospital's TLC unit with her daughter and son in-law by her side. Peggy was born on Feb. 14, 1958 (a true Valentine Baby) to Dean and Grace (Stensby) Huseth.

After graduating high school in Verona she welcomed her first daughter Pamela. Peggy would later marry Brian Santos on March 30,1985 and welcome another daughter a year later.

Peggy loved to read romance novels, calling her daughter every day to ask, "what's for supper?", crocheting blankets for loved ones and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also worked in many restaurants before developing COPD.

Peggy and her family moved around from Verona, Madison, Sunday Prairie, Fitchburg and Stoughton. Recently moving to Prairie View Manor assisted living facility in Footville and then to a memory care center a week before passing.

Peggy is survived by her daughter: Pamela (Harvey) Putman, grandchildren: Izaiah Santos, Jayson and Kaden Robles, Ashleigh Putman, sisters: Sheila Booth, Leslie (Cal) Steinberg, Linda Camcho-Cruz a brother Allen (Trish) Huseth along with 3 great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Peggy is proceeded in death by her husband Brian Santos, daughter Ashley, mother Grace Gerber and father Dean Huseth and many other family members.

Peggy's family would like to thank UW Hospital's TLC unit for their compassionate care and service. Prairie View Manor in Footville. She thought of you all as family. And lastly Sylvan Crossings in Waunakee.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday December 3, 2025, at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 206 W. Prospect St. Stoughton with Rev. Rex Wegner presiding. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
