Peggy Ann Backstrom

Madison- Peggy Ann Backstrom, age 77, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born in Madison on June 6, 1948.

Peggy was a graduate of UW-Madison with a degree in Art History. She became the Director of Law School Bookmart at UW-Madison and held that post for close to three decades.

Peggy is survived by her brother, Tim Geier and his family, including two nieces; her beloved cat, Alika; and she leaves many dear friends, including her lifelong friend, Amy Weber, in every corner of the world, having treated each and every one as family.

Private entombment will take place in Resurrection Cemetery next to her parents.
