Pearl Haas

Sun Prairie - Pearl E. Gosdeck-Haas, age 87, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2013 with her loving family by her side. She was born on February 16, 1926 in Columbus, Wisconsin, the daughter of Herbert and Esther (Heiden) Mann. In August of 1942, Pearl was united in marriage to Albert Gosdeck. Together they raised five children. For many years they ran and operated The Marshall Sausage Kitchen. Pearl's love of music and dancing was enjoyed with Albert throughout his involvement playing in a polka band. In May of 1984, Pearl married Leonard Haas and they were happily married until his passing on April 15, 2004. Pearl enjoyed puzzles, playing cards and being an avid sports fan.

She is survived by her four loving children, Judy Pederson, Janice (Clarence "Bud") Lee, Allen (Cindy Hoffman) Gosdeck and Tim (Lori) Gosdeck; three step-children, Cheryl (Richard) Stark, Brice (Julie) Haas, Gary (Sue) Haas; 12 grandchildren, Lyrae (David) Nadolski, Shawn (Barb) Arnold, Shonda (Jason) Cook, Arika (Tyler Doherty) Gosdeck, Michelle (Dustin) Boerst, Ryan Gosdeck, Tara (fianc� Trevor Schneidewind) Gosdeck, Kayla Gosdeck, Chad Gosdeck, Craig (Linda) Gosdeck, Candice (David) Braunschweig and Crystal (Paul) Lulling; 15 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, daughter-in-law, Diane Gosdeck; two sisters, Mavis (Noel) Machicote and Jeanette Parpart and a sister-in-law, Lorraine Gosdeck. She is also survived by many other loving family and friends.

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, four brothers, a son, LeRoy Gosdeck, granddaughter, Sheila Lee and step-son, Kevin Haas.

Funeral services will be held at OUR SAVIOR'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 550 Lincoln Drive, Sun Prairie on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. with Reverend Dr. David J. Berggren officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services. A luncheon will follow. Graveside services will be held at Medina Cemetery in Marshall on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Pearl to Lighthouse Assisted Living, 222 S. Bristol Street, Sun Prairie, WI 53590.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Home Health United, Lighthouse Assisted Living, St. Mary's Hospital and to Dr. Paul Schmidt at Dean Clinic for all their care given to Pearl and our family.
