Madison -- Paul W. Lyne, age 55, died peacefully on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at his home. He was born on May 5, 1955 to Benjamin, M.D. and Elsie (Thomley) Lyne in Neillsville, Wisconsin. Paul attended the University of Wisconsin -- Madison. He worked at the Waisman Center. Paul and his wife, Mary Czynszak-Lyne, would have celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary this month. He enjoyed gardening and cooking, and was president of the Culinary History Enthusiasts of Wisconsin (CHEW). Paul is survived by his wife, Mary; step-mother, Jane Lyne of Bernalillo, NM; his sisters and brothers, Mary ""Kathy"" (Dana) Burns of Eau Claire, Anthony (Mary Gunderson) Lyne of Stone Lake, Laurie Lyne of Eau Claire, William T. (Brian Derr) Lyne of Alexandria, Virginia, and Jesse Lyne of Madison; his sisters-in-law, Anne (Tim) Nagle of Annapolis, Maryland and Victoria Conlin of Stoughton; his nieces and nephews, Laurie Stalheim, David (Julie) Stalheim, Rebecca (Cory) Tennison, Lindsey Lyne, Kevin (Megan) Conlin, Karina Conlin, and Allison Nagle; and his great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and Mary's parents, Ben and Patricia Czynszak. A Celebration of Paul's Life will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2010, commencing at 2 pm at The Edgewater Hotel, 666 Wisconsin Avenue, Madison. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Paul's name can be made to The Faculty Staff Campaign for the Great People Scholarship Fund through the University of Wisconsin Foundation, 1848 University Avenue, P.O. Box 8860, Madison, WI 53708.
