MADISON - Paul L. Coughlin, age 92, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2017 at Agrace HospiceCare. He was born on May 22, 1924 in Burlington, WI to Lester and Eleanor Coughlin.
Paul was proud to be a Veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Corps, and was honored to travel to Washington, D.C. with the Badger Honor Flight. He worked for Zimbrick Buick for 37 years and valued the long standing relationships with his customers. Paul was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish for 65 years serving as a commentator and usher. He cherished his time traveling and golfing with his surviving wife of 71 years, Marjorie.
He is also survived by his two children, Charles (Mary) Coughlin of Colorado and Carol (Steven) Skolaski of Madison; his grandchildren, Kathleen (Warick Norton) Coughlin, Maureen Easley, Bridget (Alan) Sheriff, Kevin (Chrisy) Coughlin, Ciara Coughlin, Sarah (Scott) Joelson, Laura (Joshua) Lindquist, Amy (JP) Fassbender, Jennifer (Pravin Mansukhani) Skolaski; 18 great-grandchildren; his sister, Marjorie Martin; and many other relatives.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017, at 11 a.m. at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 401 S. Owen Dr., Madison, with Msgr. Ken Fiedler presiding. Burial will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Badger Honor Flight or the Our Lady Queen of Peace Endowment Fund.
