Patrick Elliott

SUN PRAIRIE - Patrick "Pat" Elliott, age 71, of Sun Prairie, WI passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013 surrounded by his loving family at UW Hospital in Madison following an unexpected illness.

He was born on July 6, 1941, in Prairie du Chien to John and Vila (Boylen) Elliott. Pat was the 7th child born to John and Vila. He spent his childhood in Prairie du Chien and Madison. Pat attended Blessed Sacrament Elementary, Edgewood High School and graduated from Prairie du Chien High School. Pat moved frequently throughout Southwestern, WI which expanded his reputation as a man who was always smiling.

He married Mollie (Lochner) Elliott on October 15, 1966. Pat worked in the insurance business for 20 years in Waunakee and Sun Prairie. In the late 80's Pat and Mollie moved to Mineral Point and went to work for Lands' End. Pat also drove school bus at different times throughout his life, which brought him great joy. In 2010, when both Pat and Mollie retired, they moved back to Sun Prairie to be closer to their kids and grandkids.

He enjoyed time with Mollie bicycling, traveling, going to UW Women's basketball games and spending time with their grandchildren. He was also a member of the Marshall American Legion.

Pat is survived by his wife Mollie, three daughters, Gina Buettner (Robert), Carmen Elliott (Chris Daugherty), and Brigid Boger(Jason) and seven grandchildren, Shelbi and Kaeci Buettner, Alexis and Brynn McMahon, Quincy, Eli, and Oliver Boger.

He is also survived by his sisters, Betty Valley, Donna Hellenbrand and Sheila Burke (Jim). His sister and brother -in-laws, Margaret and Jim Walz and Bill and Barbara Lochner, along with several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Vila Elliott, his sisters Kay Elliott, Sandra Hudson, Judy Waterhouse and his brothers Bill and Jack and sister-in-law Karen Elliott and his brother-in-laws Cy Valley and Vern Hellenbrand, his father and mother-in-law Harold and Audrey Lochner, brother-in-law Michael Lochner.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. ALBERT THE GREAT CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2420 St. Albert Dr., Sun Prairie on Monday, February 18, 2013, at 5:00 p.m. with Father Robert Bales officiating. A visitation will be held at church on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
