Patricia Strugalla

Madison: Patricia A. Strugalla, age 66, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Monday, November 24, 2014, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born on March 11, 1948, to Edward and Lillian (Gaik) Ross in Chicago, IL. Patricia graduated from St. Ann's Hospital School of Nursing in June 1969, and was united in marriage to Michael J. Strugalla on August 9, 1969, in Chicago, IL.
Patricia moved to the Wausau area in 1977, where she worked as a Registered Nurse at North Central Health Care for 27 years. She also received Gerontological Nursing Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center in 1998. Following the death of her husband in 2004, Patricia moved to Madison where she was employed by Attic Angel Place in Middleton until her retirement in March 2014.
Patricia loved spending time with her family, especially overnight visits from her granddaughters. She made the most of her free time by traveling to new places and completing things on her "bucket list". She was also a faithful member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and participated in their Crocheting and Knitting Ministry.
Patricia is survived by her daughters, Suzanne (Jacob) Couture, Wauwatosa, and Jennifer (Karl) Hassrick, Madison; three precious granddaughters, Estella, Adele, and Lucia Hassrick; her mother, Lillian Ross (Chicago); and three brothers, Lawrence, William, and James (MaryJane) Ross. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward, and husband, Michael.
There will be a visitation from 9:30 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, November 29, 2014, at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 602 Everglade Dr., Madison, WI, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.
