MADISON / MCFARLAND - Patricia "Pat" Prohovnik passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at St. Mary's Hospital with her daughter, Deb, by her side.
She was born June 23, 1944 in Colfax, Wash., the daughter of Nora Jane Dailey and William Albert Forrest. Pat graduated from high school in 1963 and shortly thereafter, won her wings as a flight attendant for Northwest Airlines. It was during that time that she met and married Walter "Walt" Prohovnik. Together, they traveled extensively throughout the United States and to many parts of the world. In 1983, they returned to Walt's home state of Wisconsin and settled in McFarland with their daughter, Deb, the love of Pat's life. In 2012, she retired from WPS where she had worked for 18 years.
Pat's legacy can be seen in her beautiful quilts and needle work; and although she loved to sew, her greatest passion was supporting her daughter's love and ownership of horses. She was a wonderful mother to Deb and too many of Deb's friends.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Deb of Madison; a sister, Joyce Thompson of Spokane, Wash.; and two brothers, Mike Skaife and Bob Skaife, both of Portland, Ore.
Memorial Visitation will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 5801 Hwy 51, McFarland, on Thursday, April 30, 2015 from 5 - 8 p.m.
