Patricia “Pat” Ann Kaminski, (née Heiss), age 89, of Madison, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026 in Madison.

Born January 4, 1937, in Madison, Wisconsin to Marie and Frank Heiss, Patricia graduated from Edgewood High School of the Sacred Heart in 1955 and went on to earn her teaching degree from Edgewood University/College. After college, she was an impactful Kindergarten teacher for several years in the Milwaukee School System. At a teacher's convention, she met her future husband, Bronislaus (Bob) Kaminski.

Pat and Bob were married on June 29, 1963, and together they built a beautiful life in South Milwaukee. In a tight-knit and welcoming neighborhood, they raised their three children and shared 46 rich and vibrant years of marriage.

During this time, she maintained a strong work ethic and resumed her career, bringing her sharp organizational and detail-focused skills to Universal Telephone and Johnson Controls. Retirement brought her to Sun City, Arizona, where her warm personality helped her expand her close community of friends. She was especially close with the group of families from the Pallottine Retreat Group with she shared many fun experiences.

Above all, Pat cherished her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a consistently supportive part of their lives: always up to play cards or games, explore new places, and cheer on their performances and shows.

Pat's restless curiosity took her out into the world. Whether it was reading a new book, fine-tuning her skills on the golf course, or traveling to places like India and Iceland, she was a lifelong learner.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Bob in 2010. On a trip to Greece after Bob’s passing, she found joy again in Eric Anderson, with whom she shared 14 years of deep companionship until his passing in 2025.

She is survived by her children Maria Carriere (Neil Slough) of El Paso, TX, Thomas Kaminski (Jamie) of Seal Beach, CA, and Michael Kaminski (Jackie) of Madison; her five grandchildren, Lynn, Alison, Owen, Sydney and Bron; her sister, Marie Heiss of Madison, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

There will be a Celebration of Life on October 10th from 1 to 4 PM at Frostwood Farms Kitchen, 8225 Greenway Blvd #100 Middleton, WI.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to an organization Pat & Bob have supported for many years,  Human Concerns of South Milwaukee.
