Patricia Marie Gore, affectionately known as Tricia, passed unexpectedly on July 14th 2025, in Madison, Wisconsin. Tricia is the cherished daughter of Richard(Deb) and Ruth Gore, beloved sister to Isabella Gore(Adam Reining) and Erica Gore(Lutia Fedozzi), treasured granddaughter of Glenn and Patricia Gore, and Willard and Isabelle Pierce, and adored aunt to Ricky and Violet. She was lucky to have found chosen sisterhood with an incredible group of friends. And was loved by many extended family members. We will keep her memory alive by sharing her stories, carrying on her kindness, and always holding onto magic.
Anyone who had the pleasure of being loved by Tricia knew she was a joy to be around. She was always excited to tell you about her passions. She was an incredible baker in and out of the workplace. She was always whipping up delectable treats, often modeled from our late mother’s recipe book. Constantly creating, she made costumes, jewelry, and toys for her niece and nephew. She fixed up many toys and costumes for her nephew and took great pride in being his repairman. Conversations with her were always full of color. She was deeply passionate about art, anime, comics, and broadway. She paid attention to details and deeply cared about other people. If you told her something, she remembered. She cherished things you’d tell her you loved and would bring them to life. She held secrets, was loyal, and carried us through our painful moments with unwavering love and support.
Generous isn't a big enough word to describe the deep sincerity she showed to people, both loved ones and strangers. She would help problem solve and cheer you on through all life’s moments. Tricia wasn’t just a friend to everyone, she was passionate about showering the world with kindness. There was something deep in her core that was unwavering when it came to riding into battles for anyone who needed a knight. She was not someone to cross: she was ferociously strong willed and intelligent beyond her years. A dangerous combination when trying to win an argument—you simply never did with her.
She deeply loved being an aunt. She attended every event, had weekly playdates, and went by "My Tricia" to her kiddos. She was always up for imaginative play and was a known "yes man". No matter how hard the kids ran her, she always claimed to be the one who had the most fun. Ricky has been asking to watch videos of his Tricia constantly. We are so lucky to have gotten to witness this love. It’s not the time we get, but how we make it count, and every second counted in a wonderful way.
No adventure was too big or too small. Tricia was up for anything and poured her soul into finding whimsey in life. She cosplayed—bringing fantasy to life and pouring her soul into the glue and stitches she used to piece together every costume she dreamt up. Her favorite adventure was bringing people into the joy that was creating.
Tricia loved all things nature, deeply loved all animals, and they loved her back. She had two pets—Hiccup and Spritz—who she cherished and spoiled; they will never know anything else. Before them, came Midnight, a family cat that came to stick her nose up to anyone but Tricia. Midnight lived to be almost 20 and spent every year with Tricia by her side.
Tricia told me days before her passing, while admiring a post-storm sky, that she liked to think the beautiful skies were our loved ones. To our sister, daughter, grandchild, friend, niece, and cousin—the world is less bright without you. We'll look to the rainbows and sunsets to find your smile and warmth.
Tricia, we will never stop sharing the magic you wove into our lives. We will never stop loving you.
