Papa Phillip T. Clementi, 101, passed away on March 15, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 28, 1911 in Messina, Italy, the son of Stefano and Lucia (Marchesi) Clementi. He was united in marriage on September 11, 1937 to Dora Farino in Milwaukee.
Papa Phil's soul exuded a passion for life. At a young age, he was mischievous and daring boy, growing into an adult still interested in many different challenging things. Papa Phil spent time with his horse, Florie, flying a plane, and racing a stock car. He rode his motorcycle until the age of 90! Many will remember his stellar humor and his profound generosity. He loved his family dearly and was proud of his Sicilian heritage... and he loved pasta- anytime... anyway.
Papa Phil was preceded in death by his wife, Dora, parents and three brothers and two sisters.
Papa Phil is survived by daughter, Lucille Schaefer (Ronald), and Son, Phillip Clementi, Jr. (Jackie); granddaughter, Danie Demitros; grandsons, Phillip (Karen), Steven, and Todd; great grandsons, Vince and Chris Clementi; and sisters Pat, Nancy (Nick), Josephine and Mary.
