Olaf Vale

Sun Prairie/ Loves Park, IL. - Olaf Jerome Vale, age 92, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2015, at his home in Loves Park, IL. He was born on February 9, 1923, in Madison, Wisconsin the son of Ole and Jerona (Hermanson) Vale. Olaf served in the Army during WWII. He was united in marriage to Arlette Lunde on August 29, 1948. Olaf graduated from UW Platteville with a degree in agriculture.

He is survived by his daughters, Ann (Paul) Tabat, Kristi (Steve) Moerke and Lori (Jose) Gonzalez; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Leslie Vale and Harold (Cress) Vale; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Arlette, a grandson, and brothers, Irvin, George and Russell.

A funeral service will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Burke Lutheran Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Following the burial will be a time for fellowship in Cress Funeral Home Community Room.
