MIDDLETON, WI Norman (Norm) Heitman, 69, passed away peacefully at his home on January 28, 2018. Norm was born October 4, 1948 to Howard & Rose (Klein) Heitman at Al Ringling Hospital in Baraboo, WI. He grew up in Wisconsin Dells and graduated from high school in 1967. After high school he acquired a degree from UW Superior and married his high school sweetheart, Maureen. He then went on to acquire advanced degrees from UW Stevens Point and University of Montana. Norm taught in the Stevens Point School district for over 30 years. He served as a positive role model in youth sports and was widely known for his badminton skills. Norm was also a member of numerous professional organizations.
Although his family was his true love; a close second was water fowl hunting from his "Little Debbie Blind" on the Wisconsin River.
Norman is survived by his wife of more than 46 years, Maureen. Children: Woody (Kristin) Heitman, Appleton, WI. Andy (Lisa) Heitman, Madison, WI. Bill (Ashley) Heitman, Minneapolis, MN. Grandchildren Christian and Lincoln. Brothers: Mark (Ellen) Mauston, WI. Mike (Dawn) Oshkosh, WI. Sister: Jean (Kevin) Reedsburg, WI. Numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, and great great nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his parents; sisters, Carolyn Sweeny, Nancy Hanson, and brother Gary Heitman. Per Norman's request there will be no funeral, but there will be a celebration of life in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to your local Ducks Unlimited chapter.
