Nicholas Peterson

Stoughton - Nicholas Howard Peterson, age 24, died unexpectedly on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at home. He was born on February 10, 1990 in Madison, WI., the son of Jeffrey and Kristin (Nelson) Peterson.

Nick enjoyed the outdoors; walking, camping, and jet skiing. Spent hours playing frisbee golf. Was involved in mission trips and served on the call team in his church at Covenant where he was confirmed in 2005. Enjoyed good conversations around the fire. Nick enjoyed music and was a big fan of his brother's band. He had a contagious smile. Nick was very generous and giving, helping those in need.

Nick is survived by his parents Jeff and Kristin; brothers, Tucker and Shad; grandparents, Howard and Jean Peterson, Bud and Grethe Nelson; many aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Covenant Lutheran Church, 1525 North Van Buren St., Stoughton, with Pastor Mark Petersen presiding. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon immediately following services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to the family.
