Nicholas Baca

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Nicholas Baca, on December 17, 2024 at the age of 29. Born on December 2, 1995, in San Francisco, California, Nicholas was undoubtedly a proud Californian native, showcasing his pride through his detailed and extensive hat collection. Each hat represented part of his dedication to his favorite teams, the Los Angeles Lakers and Oakland Raiders, that he could talk about for hours on end. 

Nicholas loved to research any topic that caught his interest, spending countless time diving into the details. Whether it be sports, all genres of rap music, his favorite movies, or random history, his passion and deep curiosity were unmatched. 

Beyond his hobbies, his favorite topics of conversation were his family, friends, and fur babies. His generosity and caring demeanor were evident in how he treated his loved ones. Whether you needed to talk until the sun went down or just a pick me up from Starbucks, he consistently ensured that everyone was valued and supported. 

Nicholas is survived by his parents (Silvia, Robert), his younger sister (Danielle), furry friends (Butchy, Otis, Chico), and by many more family, friends, and loved ones. Nicholas was preceded in death by his beloved maternal grandparents, “Abuelo and Abueli” (Omar and Dina Comunale), whom he is now reunited with for eternity. Nicholas and his Abuelo adored each other from the moment they came into one another’s lives. Every second spent together was one to be cherished, especially in the kitchen. His Abuelo inspired him to pursue cooking, his focal career in life. Their inseparable bond will forever bring comfort in their sudden reconcile. Although our time spent together was short, let us not forget the love, compassion, and empathy Nicholas taught us to live by.
