Nelda E. Pierce

Nelda E. Pierce, age 86, died Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Oak Park Place.   She was born May 23, 1923, in Cornell, WI, the daughter of Allen and Olive (Burdick) Henrickson.   Nelda received a BA in Home Economics from UW-Madison.   On June 2, 1951, Nelda was united in marriage with Richard Pierce.   In addition to her husband Richard, survivors include 2 sons: Paul (Joanne) Pierce of Portland, OR and Allen (Katie) Pierce of Mukwonago, WI; 2 daughters: Laura (Jay) Gilbert of Crete, NE and Elise (Ray) Betz of Columbia Falls, MT; 4 grandchildren: Allen (Bethany) Gilbert of Omaha, NE, Philip Gilbert of Crete, NE, Dan Pizzutti of Boston, MA and Bob Pierce of Mukwonago, WI; 1 brother Robert Henrickson of Madison, one brother-in-law Peter Pierce and one sister-in-law Jean Pierce both of McFarland.   She was preceded in death by her parents.   A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm Saturday, January 16 at OAK PARK PLACE (Grandview Room) 718 Jupiter Drive.   In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials in Nelda's name.
