Natalie Borenstein

Madison - Natalie Borenstein (Nee Schmidt) passed away January 30, 2018, at the age of 86 years. Loving mother of Steven (Sandy) Borenstein of Whitefish Bay, WI, and Neil (Sue) Borenstein of Minnetonka, MN. Devoted grandmother, of Daniel Bernstein and Allie, Jacob and Ben Borenstein. Further survived by other loving relatives and friends. Preceded in death by husband, Albert Borenstein, parents, Maurice and Sarah Schmidt, brothers, Shep (Jackie) Schmidt and Lowell Schmidt and sister, Leah Schmidt.

Natalie was born in Milwaukee and graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Medical Technology. She was employed by the University of Wisconsin for more than 30 years as a research specialist in the Genetics Department and the McArdle Laboratory for Cancer Research.

Funeral service Friday, February 2 at 1:00 p.m. at Beth Israel Center, 1406 Mound Street, Madison, WI. Burial to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, 1 Speedway Road, Madison, WI. Shiva will be observed on Saturday, February 3 at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Natalie Borenstein.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to a charity of the donor's choice appreciated.
