Nancy Vernon

Madison/Racine - Nancy Ann Vernon, age 76, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2011, at Four Winds Manor in Verona. She was born on August 6, 1935 in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of James E. and Neita (Bemis) Spencer. Nancy was Past President of the Racine Board of Realtors and was active in the Junior League of Racine and the Racine Theater Guild.

Nancy is survived by her son, Jeff Gearhart; step-children, Becky (Todd) Collins, John (Debra) Vernon, Merry Ann Vernon and Jamie Vernon; five step-grandchildren, sisters- and brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Lawrence W. Gearhart Sr. and James D. Vernon; son, Lawrence W. Gearhart Jr. and brothers James E. Spencer III and Robert Spencer.

A memorial service will be held at ST. ANDREW LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1015 Four Mile Road, Racine, WI on Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at 3 pm with Pastor Michael Mueller officiating.
