Nancy Ruth Love

September 12, 1928 — November 7, 2023

Madison

On the 7th of November Nancy Ruth Love left this earth.  She felt she had been blessed with so many happy years.  She was born on the 12th of September in 1928, in Minneapolis MN to Ruth and Carl Kaeppel.  Nancy attended school in Minneapolis until her second year in junior high school when her father, a Boy Scout Executive, was transferred to Ashland, WI.  Two years later a move transplanted the family again, this time in Minot ND.  The next few years were filled with special times.  She joined a group of girls whose friendships lasted for the rest of her life.  She graduated from Minot High School, then attended Minot State College, where she discovered the magic of teaching.  While in college she met her husband Jim.  Their union lasted 63 years, bringing both of them much happiness.  Jim and Nancy had two sons.  Their son John and his wife Mary and their daughter Amanda.  Second son Peter, who moved home to assist his mother and provide invaluable help as she aged, for which she was very grateful.  Nancy loved teaching her third grade students for many years, starting at Lapham, then to Randall, and finally Glenn Stephens.  She also loved animals, (especially dogs), rock hunting, reading, nature, biking, gardening, traveling the world, and time with friends and family.  Nancy is survived by sons John and Peter, daughter-in-law Mary, and granddaughter Amanda.  Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Grace, and her beloved husband Jim.  A private family service will be held.  The family would like to thank Comfort Keepers, and SSM Hospice at Home for their loving guidance and care.
