Nancy L. DeGraaff

Nancy L. DeGraaff, age 67, died Friday, February 11, 2011 in Rush Medical Center in Chicago.  She was born June 21, 1943, in Chicago, the daughter of Louis and Elizabeth (Vencel) Kadar.  Prior to her retirement, Nancy was employed as a clinical RN.  On January 20, 1962, Nancy was united in marriage with Robert DeGraaff in Chicago .  In addition to her husband Robert, survivors include 2 daughters: Gail DeGraaff of DeForest and Laura (Ryan) Vander Galien of Watertown ; a son Robert (Lisa) DeGraaff of MO; 7 grandchildren: Amanda, Robert, Eric, Lianna, Sarah, Alec and Anna; a sister Fay Bergstrom of IL; a brother Jim (Karen) Kadar of OH; 2 special nieces: Jennifer Brainerd and Nancy (Kurt)   Walser, as well as,  numerous other relatives.  She was preceded in death by her parents.     Nancy treasured the special love and relationship that she had with her grandchildren, they were truly her ""everything"".  She created great family times with the marvelous dinners and desserts that she prepared from scratch.   She made her home so beautiful with her exquisite interior design and decorating talents.   Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, February 17 at BETHEL LUTHERAN CHURCH , 312 Wisconsin Avenue in Madison where friends may call from 10:00 am until time of service.  Pastor Pedro Suarez will be officiating.
