Nakisha Marie Chambers

Nakisha Marie Chambers, age 48, passed away in her sleep at Belmont nursing home in Madison, WI on Monday, July 21st 2025 and was surrounded by so many loved ones. The storm is finally over and you’re free. No more pain; no more suffering. It’s time now to spread open your wings and live your new life where you are happy and not in pain.

Nakisha was born at Meriter Hospital in Madison, WI on March 19, 1977. Now she is reunited with her husband, Brian Chambers, Sr. She touched the lives of so many people. She was a strong, fierce, independent woman and an amazing mother who was also a leader, and everyone loved to be around her. She was such a kind soul to those she loved and cherished the most.

She is daughter of Jane Turvey and Timothy Baumann and daughter-in-law of Mildred Johnson and Richard Ross. Nakisha was married to Brian Chambers, Sr. who predeceased her, and together, they had one child, Fayth. This union also allowed Nakisha to become a step-mother to five children: Tashayanna, Dominique, Brian, Devon, and Chaz- she loved them like they were her very own.

Her memory will also be cherished by her grandchildren: Seiairah, Ryan, Chilynn, O’rion, Desy, and a fur baby Mischief; her siblings: Gregory, Shawn, Chris Baumann, Crystal, Sarah, Christine, Chris Johnson, Sandy, Jojo, Roger, Kayla, and Toby; her nieces and nephews: Janie, Dominic, Rae, Ayiah, Savannah, Jaxson, Bebe, Von, Tawiana, Scooby, and many more.

From Fayth: “Nakisha has so much more family and support that I can’t even type them all. She is now with all the family that has been up in Heaven-rest in peace to my mom and everyone else that has passed. I’m glad my mom and dad are reunited again.”
