Myron M. Rotar

Myron (Marv) Michael Rotar, age 87, most recently residing in Stoughton, WI passed away on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, at Agrace’s inpatient unit. He was born on April 14, 1939, in Marshfield, Wood County Wisconsin, the son of Stephen and Lenora (Beilke) Rotar. Myron was a graduate of Verona High School. He married Beverly (Sharer) at United Church of Christ in Verona, WI on July 24, 1959.

After high school, Myron worked as a farm hand expanding his talents into many areas of carpentry. He was always there to help and advise. He was the contractor and did much of the construction work on the home he built for Beverly and his family. In his later working years, he joined his son in long distance and regional trucking as an owner operator. Myron enjoyed listening to Polka music, camping, traveling within the United States and abroad, going on casino trips, snowmobiling and attending Polka Fests.

Myron is survived by his daughters, Joni (Bruce) Baum, Julie (Mark) Hudziak and Beth (Dave) Kelps; daughter-in-law Dorene, grandchildren, Nick (Jenny), Travis (Kayla), Henry, Brittany and Brandon; great-grandchildren, Oliver, Noah, Amelia and Lucas; brother, sister, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Myron was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Beverly; son, Michael; son-in-law, Bradley Walker; two brothers and a sister-in-law.

A celebration of life will be held at Cress Funeral Home, 206 West Prospect St. Stoughton, from 10:00 – Noon, Friday, Oct. 23, 2026. A private burial will be held at Highland Memory Garden.
