Muriel Thiemann

MADISON- Muriel Z. Thiemann passed away, Friday, January 13, 2017. She was born in Queens, New York on May 25, 1926 to Joseph and Josephine Zajic. Married David Thiemann on October 5, 1946 and had five children, Lora (Stu) Cameron, JoAnn (Ernie) Weber, Larry (Deb) Thiemann, Dan (Bruce) Thiemann, and Jeff (Nancy) Thiemann. Muriel is survived by her children and by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and one sister-in-Law, Doris Tepker of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Muriel worked for Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation, her division being sold numerous times and she retired from Covance. She was an over 40 year cancer survivor having colon cancer and treated with the chemo medicine that was developed by the same place she worked, Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David; sister, Audrey Sabia; and son-in-law Stu Cameron.
Friends may join her family for a gathering on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 1 pm - 4 pm at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison.
