Monnetta Shippy

Madison - Monnetta Marian Shippy, age 100 passed away at Karmenta Nursing Home on Sunday, June 3, 2012. She was born on December 15, 1911 in Hinsdale, IL and was raised by her grandparents, Martin and Ida (Fuller) Shippy, whom she loved dearly. For 83 years, Monnetta was a member of the Madison 7th Day Adventist Church and was a member of the Philharmonic Chorus. Monnetta worked as a licensed practical nurse at the University Hospital for over 40 years until her retirement. She was very kind and loving individual, who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Monnetta is survived by a special niece, Connie (Duane) Wing and her three children; Dustin (fianc� Katie Carlson) Wing, Brooke Wing and Travis Wing. She is also survived by the Schepp and Neft families. Monnetta was preceded in death by her mother, Laura Beutler and her half brother, Richard Beutler. Graveside services will be held at ROSELAWN MEMORIAL PARK CEMETERY, 401 S. Femrite Drive, Madison on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Titus Naftanaila officiating. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Karmenta Nursing Home for all the wonderful attention and care given to Monnetta. We're thankful that Monnetta is at rest until she sees Jesus face to face.
