Michael Rieser

June 13, 1949 — March 29, 2018

Madison - Michael F. Rieser, passed away on March 29, 2018, at his home. He was 68 years old.

Michael requested there be no obituary, but he did want to acknowledge and thank the people who helped him this past year.
Primary among them is Dr. Rajguru at the Carbone Cancer Center, to whom he was immensely grateful. And he wanted to thank Kay, Amanda, TK, Cari, and the rest of the wonderful staff at Carbone. He also wanted to thank all of the people at Meriter, who took such excellent care of him. Particularly he wanted to thank David, Maurit, and Dr. Bugliosi.

Michael is survived by his wife of almost 45 years, Wendy; his son and daughter-in-law Richard and Erin Rieser, son, James Rieser, and daughter, Carey and son-in-law Eric Zimmerman. He is also survived by his third son and daughter-in-law, Quinn and Bernie Williams.

Michael was the proud eldest son of 8 children. He is survived by his sister, Mary Rieser, brother-in-law Hank Kreutzjans, brother and sister-in-law Dick and Nadine Rieser, sister, Ann Rieser, brother and sister-in-law Jim and Suzanne Rieser, sister and brother-in-law Linda and Bob McGinnis, sister and brother-in-law Janet Rieser and Ken Jobko, and sister, Peggy Rieser. He is also survived by 9 nephews and nieces.

As niece Ali Kreutzjans said, "Uncle Mike, you make everything an adventure." And he did.

Anyone wishing to make a donation in his memory may do so to the U.W. Carbone Cancer Center.

A celebration of Michaels' life will be held privately.

The family is very grateful for all the love and support they have received from their friends and neighbors.
