Michael Rauls

DANE-Michael "Mike" Rauls, age 60, died on Friday, May 18, 2018, as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was born in Madison to Frederick "Fritz" Rauls and Beatrice (Laufenberg) Rauls on April 9, 1958. He married Jackie Shackett on Sept. 12, 1982, and they recently moved to Dane after living in Oregon for the past 34 years.

Mike was employed at ETC in Middleton for the past ten years as a Team lead in the metal shop. His passions included woodworking, supporting the Packers and Badgers, checking out various craft beers and riding his motorcycle.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie; son, David (Katy Brunette); daughter, Christina Rauls; his two beloved cats, Marco and Monte; his parents; sisters and brothers, Jody (Brian) McBride, Becky (Craig) Severson, Richard (Rhonda), and Brian (Sandy); and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Winn-Cress Funeral Home, 5785 Hwy Q, Waunakee, at 11:00 a.m. A celebration and gathering will be held at Rex's Innkeeper following the service at the funeral home. The family requests casual attire. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be designated by the family at a later date.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the UW Trauma Center for the care provided to Mike and the entire family.
