Michael Quinn

Michael Francis Quinn, age 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born on May 6, 1944, to Michael Francis and Anna(Matlack) Quinn in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

In 1963, Michael left Philadelphia and joined the Air Force. He was stationed at the Air Force Base in Minot, North Dakota, where he took part in protecting the Minute Man Missile Silos. He eventually moved his family to Romeoville, Illinois and then they later settled in Sun Prairie. Michael was a graduate of DeVry University and worked for GE Medical for 25 years, retiring in 2006.

Volunteering his time to the community of Sun Prairie was something Michael enjoyed. He was a member of the Sun Prairie Jaycee's, EMT and Cub Scouts. He also loved trains and attended train shows at the Coliseum in his spare time. He was an avid Packer and Badger fan but still supported his Phillies baseball team.

Michael is survived by his daughters Robin (Todd) Kowski, Elizabeth (Michael) Radcliffe and Katherine (Jon) Gernentz; his grandchildren Michael and Samantha; his brothers Charles "Rock" Quinn, Edward Quinn and Joseph Quinn.

He was preceded in death by his son Michael and his parents.

Memorial services will be held at Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace in Sun Prairie on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. A visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of service. Inurnment with full military honors will follow the service at Sacred Hearts Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare or The Dane County Humane Society.
