Michael Loewenherz

Michael H. Loewenherz, age 87, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2013 at his home. He was born on February 11, 1926 to Henryk and Rosa (Reich) Loewenherz in Danzig, Poland. Michael was a World War II veteran. He was involved in Boy Scouts for many years as scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 13 in Des Plaines, IL and as a trainer with the Northwest Suburban Council in Illinois. He volunteered at the Middleton Senior Center, and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Michael is survived by his wife, Mary Louise; his children, Ronald (Karen), James (Brenda), Linda (Robbie), and Nancy (Tom); and his grandchildren, Larkin, Elise, Danny, Roza, Adam and Alina. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison with refreshments following the service.
