Michael Brandt

Michael John Brandt, 29, of Sun Prairie, lost his struggle with depression and passed on to eternal life on September 9, 2012. Mike was very sensitive, kind, and loving, and he was a wonderful son, brother, husband, and friend. Mike lived life to its fullest. He had a great sense of humor, and he always had a story to share. Mike loved golf since his teen years, and he enjoyed chatting with whomever he was paired up with. He was an avid reader, and he collected comic books and movies. He loved spicy foods, turkey legs, and techno music. Mike graduated from UW-Milwaukee, and he loved Milwaukee and the Brewers. Mike married the love of his life, Julie, in 2010, and they moved to Charlotte, NC for milder winters. Together, they loved to dress up and to go dancing, to art shows, and to wine tastings. They loved meeting new friends together. Michael was so proud of the beautiful home they recently purchased. Michael will be greatly missed by his loving family, his parents Rem and Conni, his brother Tom and his wife Jenna, his sister Sarah and her fianc� Michael, all of his extended family, and his best friends, the Divine Ten. A private memorial is being planned. Mike called his kitty, Patches, his guardian angel, and she brought him great comfort. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a Humane Society.
