Maxine Sklare

Madison: Maxine Nessa Sklare, age 90, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017 in Middleton. She was born September 27, 1926, the daughter of Morris and Celia Youssim, in Chicago. Maxine was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed active sports and Mahjong, and along with her husband Jack, loved social activity, and were involved in Jewish education. Maxine was a volunteer at Collector's Corner thrift store that supports Hadassah House, and an active member of Temple Beth El. She is survived by her husband, Jack, children; Suzanne Sklare-Platt, Steve (Deborah) Bornstein-Sklare, Scott (Sue Tallard), and Stacy (Nadav) Serling, grandchildren; Sophie, Sarah, Charlie, Asher, Shoshanna, Elya, and Gavi. She was preceded in death by her parents, and son-in-law, Benjamin Platt. A private burial will take place, followed by a memorial service at 2:45 pm on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at TEMPLE BETH EL, 2702 Arbor Dr. Madison, WI 53711. Please share a memory.
