Mavis Ulrich

Madison - Mavis L. Ulrich, age 84, passed away on April 6, 2014. She was born on March 18, 1930, the daughter of William and Ethel (Callaway) Pellett. Mavis was a longtime Madison resident. For over 19 years, Mavis worked for the State of Wisconsin until her retirement. Prior to that, she would often say she had, "waited tables for 150 years!" She was a devout member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church for many years. In her spare time she loved crocheting and painting ceramics.
Mavis is survived by her two children; William (Bernie) Schultz and Susan Nonn, four step children; Terri (Steve) Hustad, Susan Young, Scott (Annette) Ulrich, Dawn (Tom) McGinley, 25 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, a sister; Milly (Bill) Boyer and a brother; Marvin (Elaine) Pellett. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gene Ulrich, sons Jim & Dave, daughter Sharon Ortiz and stepson Bill Ulrich.
Memorial services will be held at ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2126 N. Sherman Ave., Madison on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 6:00 pm with Reverend Gerry Kuhnke officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday, from 5:00 pm until the time of services. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Heartland Hospice for all the loving care and compassion given to our mother.
