Mary Susan Seiler

Mary Susan Seiler, age 88 of Dane/Waunakee passed away on May 21, 2023 at Agrace Hospice Care in Fitchburg. Mary was born on Dec. 22, 1934 in Riley, WI to Clemens and Laura (Wipperfurth) Hellenbrand. She married Edward Seiler on Oct. 13, 1953 in Ashton, WI and he preceded her in death in Feb. of 2014. Mary lived in Dane for 47 years before moving to Waunakee. She worked for Webcrafters for 22 years and retired in 1987. Mary’s greatest joy in life was being with her family, she also enjoyed playing cards and going to the casino!!! She was a member of the Dane American Legion Auxiliary. Mary was a longtime member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Parish in Dane.

Survivors include: 3 sons, Gary (Mary), David, and Mike (Cindy); 2 daughters, Janet (Steve) Ballweg and Jane (Kevin) Maier; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 brother Vincent (Betty) Hellenbrand and a brother-in-law, Pat Wagner. Also her dear friend Sue Meier.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; her parents; brothers, Edwin, Sylvester, and Albert “Pope”; and her sisters, Marcella, Bernadette, Frances, Rosetta, Rosalia, and Rita.

Funeral services will be held on Wed., May 31, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Blessed Trinity Catholic Parish/St. Michaels, 109 S. Military Road, Dane, WI. Visitation will be held at the church on Wed. from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at St. Mary’s Hospital, Agrace Hospice, and a special thanks to Dr. Ranum.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a future donation to a charity of their choice.
