Madison- Mary Magdalene Kreul, age 91, died on Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at St. Mary's Care Center. She was born in Highland, Wisconsin on March 22, 1919 the daughter of Alfons and Kathryn (Manning) Kreul. In 1925, Mary moved to Madison with her family and attended St. Bernard's Grade School, Edgewood High School, and University of Wisconsin where she earned her Bachelor's (1941), Master's (1959) and Doctoral (1970) Degrees. Mary was employed with the F.B.I. in Washington D.C. (1941-48), University of Minnesota (1949-1953), Marquette University (1953-59), University of Montana (1959-61), and University of Wisconsin (1961-81) where she was a Professor and Dean in the School of Business. Mary is survived by three nephews, Michael (Beverly) Epp, William (Carol) Epp and Gregory (Allison) Epp, grand nieces and nephews, Elizabeth, Megan, Rachel, Karen and David; her brother, Bernard's 6 children, and many grandchildren; Manning cousins, Joanne Disch and Debra Roberts and many Kreul cousins. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Kay Epp and Dorothy Thompson and a brother, Bernard Kreul ""Big Daddy"". A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at GOOD SHEPHERD PARISH/ST JAMES PARISH, 1128 St. James Ct, Madison on Monday, January 31, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with Msgr. Thomas F. Baxter presiding. Burial will follow at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Highland, Wisconsin. A visitation will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, on Sunday, January 30, 2011 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James Parish, Edgewood High School or St. Anthony, St. Phillips Parish in Highland, Wisconsin.
