Mary Ann Carty, age 53, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. Mary Ann was born on April 5, 1963, in Madison, daughter to Howard and Arlene (Kruse) Chaussee'.

She graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 1982, and then attended MATC. On May 23, 1992, she was united in marriage to Michael Carty. She later spent many of her years working for various car dealerships and waitressing at Prairie Lanes and bartending at Wagner's. Her most recent job was working for ITS Compliance. Mary Ann loved bowling, fishing and watching her floral Pansies grow. She cherished her family and friends and enjoyed the Hallmark channel.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 24 years, Mike; parents Howard and Arlene Chaussee'; siblings Sandee Johnson; Wes ( Patti) Chaussee', Chris ( Roxanne Adams) Chaussee', Beth ( Kevin) Reagan; Laura ( Gary) Stock; Bill ( Beth) Chaussee', Howie ( Vicki) Chaussee' and Amy ( Don) Benda. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and extended family. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her brother in law Mark Johnson, father in law Charles Carty, mother in law Myrna Carty and her dogs Chelsea and Duke.

A funeral service for Mary Ann will be held at Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie on Sunday, June 12, 2016,at 12:30 p.m. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Following the service a "Celebration of Life" gathering will be held at the VFW Post 9362, 349 South Walker Way in Sun Prairie.

Mary Ann would want all family and friends to wear casual attire. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at St. Mary's Hospital.
